Rumpelstiltskin and Other Stories
Jeff Leard brings his award winning lightning quick comedic storytelling style to the schools with this collection of new and old tales for kids.
"Rumpelstiltskin" is an active one man retelling of Grimm's classic tale. It deals with the origins of Rumpelstiltskin, how the miller's daughter falls victim to her father's bragging, and ends up caught in a web of lies and is left with the task of spinning straw into gold. It answers a number of questions often left out of the tale.
"Drip... Drip... Drip" is a modern tale about a rainy day, and a six year old girl who saves her family from an invasion of Rain Creatures who are attempting to infiltrate her house by means of her house's water pipes.
"The Wind and The Sun" is an interactive telling of an Aesop's classic that asks the audience to help the performer to personify the characters and play out their battling weather patterns.
